Mr. Terry Himebook

Terry joined the staff at The Rock in 2003 as the Director of Music Ministries, where he oversees all music programs and ministries, bringing with him over 15 years of experience in music direction and education.  He received his degree in music education, with an emphasis in trombone, from Covenant College.  Over the years he has served in churches as the Minister of Music and in Christian schools, where he directed and led the choir and band programs from the elementary through the high-school level.  Since coming to The Rock, he has developed an active orchestra, as well as the adult and children's choirs and special music programs throughout the year.

Terry also serves as the orchestrator of the Trinity Hymnal, the hymnal used by the PCA and OPC denominations.  His orchestrations are available from the publisher for churches worldwide to use. 

In 2005, Terry and his wife, Ruth, founded His Master's Voice, a music education ministry for homeschool students.  His Master's Voice now includes beginning and concert bands, elementary, middle and high-school choirs, and jazz bands  with over 100 homeschool students from Henry and surrounding counties participating.

Terry's wife, Ruth, serves as the church accompanist.  They have four (very musically talented) children.  When he is not doing something musical, Terry enjoys reading history or theology and spending time with his family.  We are truly blessed to have Terry and his family as part of our church family.
