Welcome from Pastor Bailey

On behalf of the leadership and congregation of The Rock Presbyterian Church, welcome to our website. We hope you will allow us to welcome you in person someday. As you navigate our website you will discover much about us, particularly what we believe and what we do. However, if you really want to know who we are, then you’ll have to come spend some time with us. If you do come to worship with us, there is something you must know. You won’t find any perfect people here. We struggle with and against our sin, the great enemy within us. There is nothing perfect about our worship, fellowship, or any other aspect of our lives together. But we do serve a perfect Lord and Savior in whom alone our hope is found. And we praise God that He delights to display His strength in the weaknesses of His people! In fact, we follow a Man who was tempted in every way we are, yet was without sin. That is right, we unashamedly follow Jesus Christ who knows what it is like to be tempted by sin. He understands the hurt and the pain of sin because He bore all the wrath of His Father for the sins of His people. He is even now praying for us continually at the right hand of the Father in Heaven. It is only through Jesus that we have the hope of glory, the hope of perfection in the life to come. In Christ alone we are being knit together as one body. Our hope is that the Spirit of Christ, the Holy Spirit, is moving in us to cause us to die to our sins and to live unto righteousness. The only way we will ever do anything right is by the grace of God who moves in marvelous and mysterious ways. We are hopeful that God will complete that good work He began in us until the Day of Christ Jesus our Lord and our Savior.

Our desire is to bring the Word of God to bear on every facet of our lives and the lives of those around us, having a ripple affect of changed lives, so that in all things Jesus might be preeminent. We serve the risen Lord and Savior Jesus of Nazareth, rely upon the Holy Spirit, and trust our sovereign and gracious Father in heaven. We worship the triune God only because He first loved us. We hope you find what you’re looking for as you search our website. We also invite you to come join with us in praising the living God whose plan and purpose are grand, larger than life, and lasting forever.

In Christ,

Chad Bailey, Pastor
